Twitter’s approach towards introducing applications

Twitter, on the other hand, is busy in piling up its basket full of advanced and user-friendly applications. It has the highest number of users, which any other social media site could have right now. It is making them more hyperactive to go and get more. Thus, Twitter is not only making up its own apps but also trying to capture the other companies to sell their programs to it. They are those companies, whose programs are quite popular amongst the social media users.

It seems like that Twitter wants to acquire all the profit maker apps and technologies to make its site more attractive. After getting hold of the YFrog and Twitpic, the Twitter is giving more space and chances to its users to click and share the photo.

It is quite an immature thing that Twitter is not appointing the sharp brains, who will create apps that are more advanced; rather it is trying to get those apps, which are already available at higher rates by other well-known companies.

No doubt, that Twitter is spending excessively on acquiring the latest in demand apps. This will obviously increase its demand and the number of users but the questions will also arise, that ‘Is Twitter unable to create such apps on its own?’ Certainly, the management and the BODs can answer this in more satisfying way.

What is Twitter thinking?

It is possible that the Twitter is focusing on the mentality of buying now and accomplishing the spent money target, later. Well that is sort of business dealing that is solely dependent on one thing that is whether the users will like that app on your website or not. If yes, then it is good luck that users will visit, use, and upload on it more and more, that way the Twitter will recover whatever it has spent on the apps.

Is this a right approach for Twitter?

Unlike, Facebook that asks for the customer and user feedback after and before making any changes, Twitter prefers to make changes without informing on the first hand. Sometimes, the users do not like the changes that much, so it is important for the social media networks to present their layouts in the friendly manner before changing them.

This is not a good way to please the user, as sudden changes mostly irritate the users, thus, it is essential for Twitter to focus on this matter.

Focusing on what users want is not enough. Instead, focusing on how they want it is also has some importance. Getting gluttonous is not good, as the users are smart enough these days to judge the good or bad quickly and Twitter should also acknowledge this fact.
