Cell phones have many features and advantages than the land phones. They are portable and multi-functional. However, cell phones do not overwrite the importance of land phones. Each has their own share of advantages. So, before opting to ditch your land line and use your mobile only consider the drawbacks of your decision.

Cell phone networks have increased immensely but still it does not cover all the areas. So, before you plan on disconnecting your land phone services check for sure whether your cell phone network is reliable and you can use it in the place where you used to use your land phone in the past. Sometimes it so happens that even though your area has good cell phone network, still you might face poor signal reception at home this could be because of building obstructions

Cell phones are more prone to damage or being lost than landlines. With the increasing technology of mobile phones they are becoming costlier by the day and also the chances of theft are increasing too. Also in case you lose your mobile you will lose communication temporarily until your retrieve your SIM card. If you a land phone as a supplement then you can have a back up communication means.

Cell phones are the electrical devices that have batteries so they need to be regularly charged and will be prone to technical malfunctions and other crashes. The more the phone is of high technology the more likely it is to be crashed.
