Rumored Features of iPad Mini

Apple iPad Mini

Apple iPad Mini is expected to be released in 3 weeks time. Apple has not yet confirmed these rumors but has not denied them either. But enough info has leaked out of the security controls to give the world a picture of what it has in store for us. Here are some of its features.

1.      Smaller Screen

It is expected that the new iPad Mini will be sporting a smaller screen of 7.85”, much smaller than the present iPad which has a display of 9.7”.

2.      Retinal Display

The resolution of the iPad Mini is not yet revealed but it is expected that it might not have a retinal display. The retinal display renders great details on the screen like smooth, sharp text and pictures. The recent Amazon Kindle Fire HD and Nexus 7 has the retinal display but Apple iPad Mini might not have retinal display to keep the cost down.

3.Aluminum Casing

The iPad Mini might have an aluminum casing, thus making it look similar to the original iPad, but in a smaller version. The casing will have the black Apple Logo on the back and a small hole for the camera. The iPad Mini might be a little thinner and wider than the Nexus 7 tablet. It will be actually thinner, lighter and easier to hold than the iPad.

4.Interior

There is a possibility that iPad mini might continue with the A5 processor to keep the cost low. But it might be of little problem if iPad Mini has retinal display because A5 processor might not be powerful. However it is also possible that iPad Mini might use A6.

The storage capacity of iPad Mini like all other Apple iOS devices could be 16, 32, 64 GB. But still you can never expect things from Apple. It always leaves everybody in surprise.

5.Lightning Connector

The dock connector also nick named Lightning Connector was one of the awesome features of iPhone 5. So, it is expected that the new iPad Mini might also have the new lightning connector. Only Lightning cables are compatible with the lightning port. This port costed the iPhone 5 users a lot of money as they had to purchase a adapter to fit the iPhone 5 into their accessories. Whereas iPad Mini is a brand new product from Apple and it has no accessories yet.

6.Cellular Data

It is still a doubt as to what the iPad  Mini will support 3G or Wi-Fi only. However some leaked photos show that iPad Mini supports 3G. On the other hand a British newspaper reported that it will have only Wi-Fi according to sources. So, Wi-Fi is a certainty, 3G a rumor and 4G a slim probability.

These are some of the rumored features of iPad Mini. It is expected to release on October 23^rd and will be available from November 2^nd. It is expected to range from 199-349 USD and probably available in 16, 32, 64 GB.
