For a couple of weeks now, rumors have been surrounding the next Nexus which included LG. But now looks like these rumors have been essentially confirmed by a couple of reliable sources. The Samsung Galaxy 2 Nexus keeps popping up in various internet leeks. This suggests the earlier reports are true about the release of 5 new Nexus handsets and tablets by the end of the year. Some of the upcoming devices mentioned in these reports are The Galaxy Nexus 2, The LG Optimus Nexus and the Sony Xperia Nexus. It is also rumored that HTC is working on a 5” Nexus Phablet.

News on the interwebs is that Google is trying to expand its lineup of stock of Android running handsets.  A Spanish site MovilZona seems convinced that LG will be one among the manufacturers to announce a Nexus phone later this year. According to sources, this device from LG could sport a big 4.7” touch screen display with high resolution and offer quality and detail close to that of iPhone 5’s Retinal display. Seemingly, this matches the description of the recently announced LG Optimus G. This device has a 4.7” WXGA True HD IPS Plus display with 1280 x 768 screen resolution.

So, it might be possible that the rumored Nexus from LG could be a version of Optimus G, or a differentiated handset. All this remains to unveil in the coming time. What makes sense is Google is using LG Optimus G as a template. We have to wait until the next Google Nexus event that could be later this year for some new Nexus devices.
