All across blackberry users were infuriated as on Wednesday an outage of mail, messages and internet services on the mobile phone were extended to U.S, Canada and spread third day for Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America. For all BB users it was the greatest outage in years and it overwrought the relation with the existing tarnished brand. This news came on the day when new iPhone set was launched from a mighty competitor.
One of the Canadian companies, Research In Motion Ltd who are into making the phones said that on Monday a vital link in European infrastructure has been failed. They had a back up but it didn’t work. The primary problem is being fixed but on the problems regarding messaging, Emails, etc company still needs to work out and find the solution at the earliest. For the time being messages and emails are piling up from different regions to Europe and in the rest of the part through RIM’s systems. It is causing an outage in Asia and U.S; it is being said by David Yach, Chief Officer for RIM’s software.
The letter was posted on Wednesday on the RIM’s website and the chief information officer, Robin Bienfait has apologized for delays and service interruptions. She said that the work is in process and they are working hard to clear the backlogged messages if there is any so far. She stated that she is sorry for the inconvenience as you people depend upon them for reliability and they had let you down at this point of time. We appreciate your patience and we are working hard to sort down the issues which you are facing as early as possible and we will restore back our services in all the markets.
RIM is being struggling due to delays in having a new phone out and a tablet which is dud and the shares which are five year low and in the recent slot the selling was down from 12.1 million to 10.6 million for last year.
