  • You have to be aware of the source from which you are downloading the apps for your smart phone. If the source is not a reliable one then do not download any apps from that source.
  • Just like you take all the possible precautionary methods when you browse the internet on your desktop, you need to be careful while doing so on your smart phone.  Enter the site address directly from your phone browser. Before you go into a new page, check the URL of the page. Take care that you are not redirected to a unknown, unsafe website.
  • Your Bluetooth needs to be turned off when not in use. When your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled your phone activity can easily be spied on.
  • Never accept Bluetooth messages form unknown phones. They contain virus and malware.
  • Always keep your phone locked when you are not using it and also remote wile has to be enabled. One common problem that affects mobile phone users is losing their phone. When you have the option of remote wipe enabled, you can wipe the info immediately when your phone is stolen or lost.
  •  Your phone has to be uploaded with antivirus software. There are many antivirus software available for smart phones. The security offered by antivirus will provide your phone with extra protection and also other services.
