Problems with your Phone

So, if a person complains of poor audio quality and you are sure there is no issues at your end ask the person at the other end to check their reception. It might be a problem with the cord or the receiver might have been broken.

If you are sure there is no problem at the either end of the phone then the issue is definitely with the phone company. To check this ask your neighbors if there is any problem with their phone and call your phone company from their phone ask if there is any problem with the lines in your area or if any maintenance work is being done. If there is any maintenance, work going on presently then the line will be fine in a few days.

Other issues

Sometimes cordless phones create the garbled sound when they get low on battery. In such cases charge the phone before you use it to avoid the disturbance. Sometimes, Slow Internet service also creates poor audio quality especially if you are using Skype or VoIP.
