Millennials can be referred to as the folks who were born between the 1980s and 2001. These are the folks that had the luxury of having access to gadgets such as cell phones, personal computers, and video games in the course of their growth and maturity. There is also another category of millennials who are normally referred to as ‘generation Z’ and were born between 1991 and 2001. A survey carried out suggests that millennials in the United States spend almost 20 hours weekly accessing their smartphones, and funny enough, they are rarely used to make calls. A survey has revealed that at least 35% of millennials find it difficult to cope without the Amazon app, therefore establishing this ‘Amazon wonder’ as the most used app by this generation, surprisingly beating competition from the likes of Facebook and Gmail.

Online shopping is convenient on many levels. This shouldn’t really be a surprise as transactions related to ordering items like food, gadgets and many other materials and be speedily completed at one’s convenience with just the click of a button.

This category of apps has proved to be significantly vital for the millennials in recent times. Social media has brought about an evolution of our world. The likes of Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook have become exceedingly popular, almost making it important for us to upload our lives and share with the world.

Others like Whatsapp enable one to connect with people individually or in groups. These apps have made communication and the dissemination of information very much easier whilst enhancing the ease with which they can be done.

The usage of this one goes beyond millennials, although it’s one they cannot live without with regards to every aspect of their daily lives. Doing searches in libraries is fast becoming archaic as Google provides one with the optimal solution with speed. Just imagine life for the millennials without Google in recent times!

  1. Gaming like Crazy!

The world of gaming appears to be gaining more and more grounds in the lives of millennials as time goes by. No matter your orientation, the app store undoubtedly has a game already in existence that suits your craving, and even better.

One of such popular apps is the PlayStation official app which has garnered a staggering 81% of millennial users. The Xbox One SmartGlass follows closely. There are also a good number of mobile gambling apps which have caught their attention.
