For some time now Samsung has been reportedly working on a new Android Smartphone. It was speculated to be Nexus 4, but no it is an altogether new device- Galaxy Premier.
This Smartphone seems to have the same pebble-esque design which was introduced in Galaxy S III and continued in Galaxy Note II and the recent SIII mini. This model stands somewhere between Galaxy S III and S III mini. It will have the specifications between the above two mentioned devices and also its screen size. It was expected that Samsung has been working on another Nexus Phone but no it turned out to be Galaxy Premier. Unlike Nexus, Premier will have a 4.65 super AMOLED touch screen and will have 2 capacitive button and 1 actual button underneath the screen, instead of software rendered Android buttons. The Galaxy Premier will have the following specifications:
- 4.65” touch screen with 1280 x 720 resolution.
- 1.5 GHz dual core ARM Cortex A-9 Processor.
- Android 4.1 ( Jelly Bean) OS.
- Touch WIZ User Interface.
- 8 MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a 2 MP camera on the front.
- Connectivity-Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 , 3G, 2G and micro SD USB
- Storage capacity of 8GB, 16GB and expandable memory of up to 64 GB with micro SD card.
It is expected to first appear in Germany before the end of this year and in European countries a little later. It is expected to be priced 480 Euros. Since S III with better features is priced at 450 Euros, Galaxy Premier will be much lesser. It might be priced between S III and S III mini as there is no Smartphone in this price range except for Galaxy Note which is too big for some people. The Galaxy S III has been greatly successful for the South Korean company which sole 30 million units in just 100 days of its release. We, just have to wait and see if Galaxy Premier walks the same line.
