tips for android users

  1. Add quick controls to the browser : This is one option that is buried deep beneath the Android 4’s web browser.  This option adds to the browser a pop out menu which brings out a collection of short cuts in the form of a semi circle. It removes the URL bar and gives a larger screen for you to use. Another age old trick is to hold down the back button to bring up bookmarks and history tool.
  2.  Long pressing to uninstall: You can long press on an application that you want to uninstall within the app drawer but this pops up a couple of menus along the top of the screen. You can fling it the other way if you want to avoid the boring technical stuff that the app info gives you.
  3. Save your eyes with the inverted rendering: This turns your pages into black color and the text into white. It will save your phone’s battery and also protects your eyes and makes reading easier especially if you are doing so in the dark. It is under the browser’s setting tab along with a contrast slider.
  4. Stop app icons from appearing automatically: If you want to control your phone alone and wish to remain in charge completely of your phone’s Home layout then go to the Google Play app’s setting tab and untick the option Auto –add Shortcuts toggle. This will prevent the automatic addition of shortcuts to your Home screen.
  5. Manually close APPS:  The recent apps multitasking menu from Google allows to close apps quickly. Along press within the recent apps listing allows you to visit the app’s info page where you can easily force close it.
  6. Setting shortcut in the notification pane:  There is a small setting icon on the ICS notification area. It’s a short cut to your phone or tablet’s area. You can use it instead of  the Home screen icon slot.
  7.  Folders in the dock tip: Android’s new official  folder formation helps makes it easy for you to combine the apps shortcuts and make folders by simply dragging one icon on top of other. You can also create a group of these.
